The condition we need to account for is when someone signing up on your site already has an account with us. Otherwise it's pretty straightforward. Have you worked with REST APIs before? If you tried to POST a new user and we already had an account for that email, we would return with a 403. You would have to catch that and tell the user "hey, you already have an MSR account".
